New Prices with More Choice, More Flexibility, The Same Award-Winning Standard
Behind every beautiful celebration is a long list of decisions—from the venue and flowers to photography, entertainment, dresses, suits, stationery, accommodation and, of course, the food.
And over the past few years, we’ve noticed something changing.
Couples are becoming increasingly conscious of how they allocate their wedding budget. They still want exceptional food, beautiful presentation and a memorable dining experience—but they also want flexibility.
At Food Champs Wedding & Event Catering, we believe they should be able to have both.
That’s why we’ve recently re-priced our wedding catering packages and introduced a more flexible, tiered pricing structure, giving couples greater choice without compromising the standards that have made Food Champs an award-winning catering company across the Midlands and beyond.
Why Have Wedding Catering Prices Changed?
The UK wedding market has been operating in a very different economic environment over recent years. Catering is, naturally, one of the most significant elements of a wedding.
According to the latest wedding reports from Hitched and Bridebook, two of the UK’s leading wedding planning platforms, couples are becoming increasingly conscious of how they allocate their wedding budgets.
The actual cost of wedding catering can vary considerably depending on guest numbers, menu complexity, ingredients, service style, staffing, equipment, venue requirements and what is included within the quotation.
We Didn’t Want to Compromise on Quality
There was one thing we were never prepared to do: lower our standards.
At Food Champs, our reputation has been built on exceptional food, professional service and an uncompromising approach to quality.
- We could have reduced the quality of ingredients.
- We could have simplified the experience.
- We could have taken shortcuts.
We chose not to.
Instead, we’ve looked carefully at how we structure our wedding catering packages so that couples can make more informed choices about where they want to invest their budget.
Introducing More Flexible, Tiered Wedding Catering Pricing
Our new pricing structure allows us to work more flexibly with different budgets and different expectations.
Rather than assuming every wedding requires exactly the same level of ingredients and menu complexity, our packages can now be adapted according to the selections chosen.
The ingredients, menu style, number of courses, service requirements and overall complexity of your wedding all influence the final quotation.
And that’s exactly how bespoke catering should work.
A couple may want a sophisticated three-course wedding breakfast. Another may prefer a four-course dining experience with canapés during the drinks reception. Someone else may want to focus their budget on exceptional main-course ingredients while keeping the rest of the menu beautifully simple.
There is no reason every wedding should be priced identically.
Bespoke Wedding Menus: More Choice, Not Less
Our bespoke wedding catering approach allows us to work with couples to create a menu that genuinely reflects their celebration.
We can discuss your priorities, guest numbers, venue, style of service, dietary requirements and budget before developing a proposal.
The result is a more personalised approach to luxury wedding catering in the Midlands.
Because value isn’t necessarily about having the cheapest menu. It’s about making sure every pound is being spent where it matters most to you.
The Cost of Catering Is About More Than Food
One of the things we always encourage couples to consider when comparing wedding catering quotes is what is actually included.
A catering price isn’t simply the cost of the ingredients on the plate.
There are chefs, preparation time, kitchen staff, front-of-house staff, transportation, refrigeration, equipment, set-up, service, breakdown, cleaning, insurance, logistics and countless other operational costs behind a successful wedding breakfast.
There are also the details that are easy to overlook when comparing quotations.
At Food Champs, we provide crockery and cutlery as part of our catering service, and paper napkins can also be supplied where required.
That means couples don’t need to source and purchase these essentials separately.
For additional equipment hire, where something falls outside our own catering provision, we are also happy to recommend trusted professional suppliers we have worked with and know to be reliable.
Don’t Forget the Details
When planning your wedding tablescape, there are several practical items beyond the obvious decoration that need consideration.
Who is providing the salt and pepper shakers? What about table linen? Who is supplying the glassware, ice buckets, ice?
These details can easily disappear into the background during wedding planning, yet they become very important on the day itself.
If Food Champs is providing the drinks service, we include appropriate glassware within that service. For a dry-hire bar, however, glassware would need to be arranged separately.
It’s these small practical details that can make the difference between a catering quotation that looks attractive on paper and a genuinely complete wedding catering plan.
Luxury Doesn’t Have to Mean Inflexible
We believe this is the most important message behind our new pricing structure.
Luxury wedding catering should be flexible. It should allow couples to choose. It should allow menus to evolve. And it should allow the budget to be allocated intelligently without automatically sacrificing quality.
Our new tiered pricing approach gives us more scope to do exactly that. The Food Champs standard remains the same. The way you get there can be much more flexible.
Planning Your Wedding Catering?
If you’re currently comparing wedding catering prices in the Midlands, we’d encourage you to look beyond the headline price.
Ask what is included:
- Ask what you can change.
- Ask how flexible the menu is.
- Ask about dietary requirements.
- Ask about crockery, cutlery, napkins, glassware, staffing, set-up and breakdown.
And most importantly, ask whether the caterer is prepared to work with you rather than simply offer you a fixed package.
At Food Champs Wedding & Event Catering, our aim has always been to create exceptional food and exceptional experiences.
Our new pricing structure simply gives couples more ways to make that happen.
Same standards. More choice. Greater flexibility.
And that’s something we believe is worth celebrating.
